It is also close to the small town of Beaurainville that has a Carrefour and petrol station and the historic town of Montreuil notable for it's reference to Vistor Hugo's ' Les Misérables' is only 15 minutes away.The lovely coastal ports of St Valéry and Le Crotoy are about 35minutes away and the busy seaside resorts of Berck and Le Touquet are about 25minutes drive. St Omer and the World War Museum of la Cupole are about 40 minutes away.The fascinating Azincourt Museum and the ruins of the Castle at Fressin are also about 25 minutes drive.There is also a newly opened swimmng pool and 10-pin bowling centre just south of Hesdin about 15 minutes away.

Other information:

The channel tunnel is 60 miles north and travel to London is just 2 to 3 hours drive making this area ideal commuter belt territory. Schools in the area are very good, especially the Lycee at Montreuil for older children. There is local GP in Aubin st Vaast just 5 minutes walk down the road and there is a First Tuesday club, also in Aubin st Vaast of both French and English people meeting once a month for socialising. This is a very good place, not only to make new friends but to develop a network of helpful advice.
