Description of House in Nord Pas de Calais:
Manoir du Clair Fontain is a large manor house with good proportions built in 1680 with large grounds including lake, river and its own natural spring
Built in 1680,the name derives from the natural spring that used to feed the whole village. Historically, this is a very important house in the area and was billeted by the Germans during the 2nd world war to provide housing for a General.Internally there is a spacious open-plan dining room/lounge that leads out through patio doors to a sun terrace overlooking the garden. The hall features a sweeping staicase leading to a galleried landing. The hall leads off to a study, downstairs toilet, back hallway with cuboards for coats, shoes and other storage, a games room and a spaceous kitchen. Acces to the cellar is also here. Upstairs there are currently 5 double bedrooms, Gym and 2 family size bathrooms and a toilet. There is also access to the attic via another staircase which houses a small bell tower and pigeon loft. This area could easily be renovated to add several more bedrooms if desired. The house can be annexed off upstairs if required and the back bedroom and bathroom lead down another staircase to a large garage. Again, this could be renovated to provide another living area.
Outside, there is a driveway at the left side of the building that leads to an additional 4 garages and parking area at the back of the house with room for up to 4 cars. There are steps that lead up to the side entrance to the house bordered by trees and a small waterfall.
There is a natural spring on the plot and a 3.5-acre wooded plot with a fishing lake (with permit to fish) , fruit orchard and lawns.
